Championship Overview

The 2013 NOVAR Verizon Cup Series Season, was the 50th season in Cup series competition, and the 5th under the Verizon Cup banner. Chadler Blake was the defending champion. The season marked the debut of the overtime system, which was used in two races.

David Peteyon won his first title after Shane Hardon blew a 92 point lead with 5 races remaining, defeating Mike Hogan by 13 points.
